How Roofers Merthyr works
We’re a free referral service, not a roofing company. Here’s exactly what happens when you send a request, and how we’re paid.
Three steps
Tell us about the job
Fill in the short form with what needs doing, your postcode and, if you can, a photo or two. It takes about two minutes.
We pass it to a trusted local roofer
Your request goes to one roofer who works in Merthyr Tydfil and the villages around it. We don’t sell your details to lists of firms.
They contact you to quote
You hear back within 24 hours to arrange a visit or a price. The quote is free, and you decide whether to go ahead.
Roofers Merthyr doesn’t do roofing work. The roofer pays us a fee if they get the job, so the service is free for you. More about how it works
Who we are
Roofers Merthyr is a trading name of Nathan Constance, based in Merthyr Tydfil. The site exists to make it easier for homeowners in Merthyr Tydfil to reach a reliable local roofer without ringing round or putting their number on a directory that sends it to five firms.
What we do, and what we don’t
- We receive your request and pass it to one trusted local roofer
- We publish typical local prices and plain guides, so you know what to expect
- We don’t inspect roofs, give quotes or do any roofing work
- We don’t take payment from you, ever
How we’re paid
If the roofer gets the job, they pay us a referral fee of 10% of the job value. That’s how the site stays free for you. We tell you this because you should know who is being paid and why.
Your details
We keep your request for 12 months and any photos for 90 days, then delete them. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Questions about the service
Is Roofers Merthyr a roofing company?
No. We don’t do any roofing work. We pass your request to a trusted local roofer, who quotes you directly and, if you go ahead, does the job.
How do you make money?
The roofer pays us a referral fee of 10% of the job value if they get the work. You pay the roofer’s quoted price. The fee doesn’t come from you on top.
Does the fee make my quote more expensive?
You pay the price on the roofer’s written quote and nothing else. You’re free to get other quotes and compare.
Do you share my details with lots of companies?
No. Your request goes to one local roofer. We don’t sell your details or add you to marketing lists.
Who checks the roofer?
We only pass requests to roofers we know and have worked with in Merthyr Tydfil. Always check your written quote, insurance and guarantee before work starts, whoever you use.
What if I’m not happy with the roofer?
Your contract is with the roofer, so raise it with them first. Please also email hello@roofersmerthyr.co.uk: we want to know, and we stop passing work to roofers who don’t look after customers.
